Frequently Asked Questions
Is having church online legit? Can you really connect with people online?
Yes. Technology reflects what we value as a culture and because we value connection, technology can facilitate that. It is possible to foster deep and lasting relationships online and we encourage you to do so through our various opportunities. However, you only get what you put in. In this sense, there is no replacing the local church. If you are able, we strongly encourage you to participate in one of our physical campuses or find a local church, or a supplemental community to your Online experience near you where you can utilize your gifts and impact the kingdom on an intimate and personal level.
How does one connect through technology?
We connect through technology on a daily basis through social media, mobile devices, television, etc. At Real Life Church Online we utilize each of these avenues to some degree. You can interact on the chat roll during the service, post comments through Twitter using #rlconline, post a picture of the community you’re watching with on Instagram using #rlconline, join our Facebook group to keep in touch during the week, or join us for our regularly scheduled “hangouts” Online.
Are there any opportunities to serve with Real Life Church Online?
There sure are. You can be a part of the chat team that creates a welcoming environment by greeting people on the chat roll, be a part of the prayer team that meets people’s direct needs by praying with them during the service, and you can also host an online campus in your home or other environment using the technology of Roku. Invite your friends, family, or co-workers, engage in the service together, take communion, and guess what? You’ve just been to church and served alongside Real Life Church Online!
